Meet Mark & Olivier

Solo artists Mark Daly (Darkly A.M. of Animat fame) from the U.K. and Olivier Arntz (nOzart) from Belgium join forces to create "S.O.N.A.T.I.O.N. Downtempo Electronica," a project inspired by nature, especially the beauty and variety of birdlife.

Formed in early 2023 online, their debut collaboration hit Beatport's top 10. Seeking a slower BPM, studio sessions in Antwerp produced enough material for a full album. While active in dance and electronica, S.O.N.A.T.I.O.N. allows them to break free of dancefloor considerations and explore ambient/dub/downtempo realms beyond traditional four-to-the-floor.
